About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The Anatolian Journal of Social Research (AS) aims to publish scientific articles from different fields of social sciences in Turkish and English.

Anatolian Journal of Social Research (AS) publishes scientific research articles in different fields of social sciences. While the priority of the journal is "scientific research articles", studies such as "compilation", "letter to the editor" and "book review" are also evaluated, provided that they are prepared in accordance with the spelling rules. The publication languages of the journal are Turkish and English. Manuscripts submitted for evaluation to our journal must not have been published before, not accepted for publication and should not be in the process of being evaluated for publication. The responsibility of the studies that are in the evaluation process and published are entirely the responsibility of the author(s).

Peer Review Process

In the scope of this assessment;
  • The field editor sends the submitted article to at least 2 referees who are experts in the field. A positive report of at least 2 referees is required for the article to be published. Field editors should avoid appointing people who may have a conflict of interest (such as being at the same university, thesis advisory relationship, kinship) with the article authors as referees. Care should be taken not to select the referees from a single university. In addition, the referees of our journal must have at least a doctorate degree.

  • In the double-blind refereeing process, the information of both authors and referees is kept confidential. Within the scope of protecting the identity information of both parties, our authors and referees should pay attention to the following issues;

o Authors should not directly or indirectly include their identity information in their articles.

o In the submitted work, no information should be shared on issues such as whether the article was produced from the thesis, received project support or funding from any institution or organization, or was presented at the congress. This information will be added to the article later if the article is accepted.
o When naming the article or referee file, name and identity information should never be used, and it should be ensured that the author information is not included in the document properties.
o If the author refers to himself, he should only indicate as (Author/Author) in the relevant section of the text and also use this notation in the bibliography.
